Terms of service
Last updated 9 October 2026.
These terms explain how 7 Seas Revision works, what you pay, and what we each agree to. Please read them before you create an account. If anything is unclear, email info@7seasrevision.co.uk.
1. Who we are
7 Seas Revision is run by Joseph Davoren, a sole trader in England ("we", "us"). Contact us at info@7seasrevision.co.uk. These terms are an agreement between us and you, the parent or carer who holds the account ("you").
2. Your account and your children's profiles
- You must be 18 or over and a parent or carer of the children who use your account.
- Your children use 7 Seas through profiles in your account. They don't have their own logins, and you're responsible for how they use the service.
- Give a real email address and keep your password private. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
- Use a first name or nickname for each child. Please don't add surnames, schools or photos of your child.
- You can add up to 6 child profiles, and you can edit or delete a profile at any time.
- How we use your information and your children's is explained in our privacy notice.
3. What the service includes
- Free: the starting diagnostic test for each subject, with results and the topics to focus on.
- With a course subscription: for each subscribed child and subject, the animated Voyages, practice drills, Captain's Challenges, progress tracking and mock papers.
- Mock papers: online or printed. Only one paper per subject can be open at a time, and each paper can be downloaded at most 3 times. Downloads show your child's first name.
- What we don't promise: 7 Seas helps children prepare, but we can't guarantee a result in any entrance test or a place at any school. Test formats vary by region and school, so check the details of the tests your child is sitting.
- Changes: we keep improving the content, and we may change or replace lessons and questions. We won't take away a main part of what you've paid for during a paid month. If we change the service in a way that matters to you, we'll tell you, and you can cancel.
4. Subscriptions and payment
- Prices are per child: £10.99 a month for one course (Maths, English, Verbal Reasoning or Non-Verbal Reasoning), or £35 a month for all four. Prices include any VAT that applies.
- How you pay: by card through Stripe, our payment provider. We never see or store your card details.
- When you pay: on the day you subscribe, then on the same date each month. Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel.
- Changing courses: you can add or remove courses at any time. We charge or credit the difference for the rest of that month straight away, and the new price applies from your next payment.
- Reminders: we'll remind you about your subscription, and how to cancel, at least every 6 months.
- Price changes: we'll tell you by email at least 30 days before a price change affects you. You can cancel before it starts.
- If a payment fails: Stripe will try again over the following days, and we'll ask you to update your card. If payment still can't be taken, the subscription ends and the courses lock. Your child's progress is kept as set out in the privacy notice.
- Promotion codes: codes such as beta or discount codes apply as described when we give them out. They can't be swapped for cash.
5. Cancelling, cooling-off and refunds
- Cancel any time, in one step: in the Parent area, choose Plan and payments, then Cancel subscription. You can also email us.
- After you cancel: your child keeps access until the end of the month you've paid for, and no more payments are taken. You can restart before then with one click.
- 14-day cooling-off: when you first subscribe, you ask for access to start straight away. You can still cancel within 14 days and get a refund, less a fair amount for the days already used. Email info@7seasrevision.co.uk to ask for a cooling-off refund.
- Other refunds: apart from the cooling-off period, we don't refund part-months after you cancel, because access continues to the end of the month you've paid for.
- If something isn't right: your rights under consumer law aren't affected. If the service isn't as described or doesn't work properly, tell us. We'll fix it, and if we can't fix it within a reasonable time, we'll give you some or all of your money back.
6. Fair use
A subscription is for the child it's bought for, at home. Please don't:
- let a child use another child's profile, or share your login with another family;
- copy, sell, share, upload or hand out our Voyages, questions, answers or mock papers, including the printed ones;
- use 7 Seas to teach or tutor other people's children, or in a school or business, without our written agreement;
- try to get round the limits on mock papers or downloads, copy the site with automated tools, or interfere with how it works.
7. Our content
The Voyages, characters (including Captain Tony and Sid), questions, mock papers and the rest of the site belong to us or the people we license them from. While you subscribe, we give you a personal licence to use them for your own children's revision. Printed mock papers are for your child's own practice.
8. What we're responsible for
- We'll provide the service with reasonable care and skill, as described in these terms.
- The site may sometimes be unavailable, for example for maintenance or because of a fault with one of our providers. We'll try to keep this short.
- We're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that was a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or not taking reasonable care. We're not responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable.
- 7 Seas is for private family use. We're not responsible for business losses.
- Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to exclude. Your legal rights as a consumer aren't affected.
9. Ending your account
- You: you can delete a child's profile, or your whole account, at any time from the Parent area. Deleting cancels any subscription straight away. See the privacy notice for what happens to your data.
- Us: we may suspend or close an account if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken, for example if paid content is shared outside the family. We'll explain why and, where it's reasonable, give you a chance to put things right first.
- If we close the service: we'll give you at least 30 days' notice and refund any time you've paid for but can't use.
10. Privacy
Our privacy notice explains what information we keep about you and your children, why, and for how long. There's also a short notice for children.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we add features or the law changes. We'll put the date at the top. For changes that affect you in a significant way, we'll email you at least 30 days before they apply, and you can cancel before then if you don't agree.
12. Complaints and the law
- If you're unhappy with anything, please email info@7seasrevision.co.uk. We aim to reply within 5 working days.
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales; if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring it in your local courts.
- If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
